Description
Purple Firefish Goby are beautiful fish known for their coloration - a white body blended to a vibrant purple with red/orange streaked fins. They are a hardy and peaceful companion for seahorses and corals, often finding a spot to hide in live rock or corals near sandy bottoms.
They grow to 3 to 4 inches long so can be kept in smaller tanks and will not overcrowd a seahorse tank. Firefish Gobies, however, may become territorial if multiple fish are kept and/or the fish are overcrowded. It is important to keep them in a covered tank as they are known jumpers. Firefish Gobies will eat appropriately-sized frozen marine fish food such as brine shrimp and/or flake foods.
