Pajama Cardinals are also called spotted cardinalfish or polka dot cardinals. These wonderful fish are one of our favorites because of their comical coloration pattern with a yellow-green face, big orange eye and black band separating its face from its polka dotted body.
The Pajama Cardinal prefers to hide in rocks and caves, hunting for food during the night. They are hardy, peaceful fish that reside well with most fish, seahorses and corals. These fish easily breed in an aquarium where the male fish incubates the fertilized eggs in his mouth. They eat a wide variety of frozen foods including mysis and brine shrimp. Pajama Cardinals reach 3 inches in length.
