Description

The Duncanopsammia Axifuga, commonly known as “Duncan” or “Whisker” coral, is a beautiful and peaceful coral with long tubular corralites and thin tentacles. Its tentacles retract when disturbed but otherwise remain extended day and night.  It is found attached to rock in sandy seabeds in Australia and the South China sea. Duncans are photosynthetic large polyped stony corals from the Dendrophylliidae family.

This beautiful specimen has long green stalks with five polyp heads of translucent neon green with grey "whiskers".
