Shipping & Pickup

NoCoast Aquatics orders of live marine animals are delivered using temperature-controlled FedEx Priority Overnight® (for a faster delivery than Standard Overnight) or UPS Overnight Delivery to ship for next business-day delivery typically by 10:30 am to most areas and by 4:30 pm or 5:00 pm to some rural areas. For Alaska, delivery will be made in 2 business days for certain shipments.  Hard good only orders are delivered via ground shipping.    

We ship packages on Monday to Thursday; Saturday deliveries are not available. 

Livestock, hard goods and aquarium water can be purchased either online or at our facility in Minnetonka, MN.  Online purchases can also be picked up at our facility.  Please contact us to arrange a pick-up time at (952) 221-8628.

In all cases, we choose the fastest, safest, most effective way to pack, ship and deliver your orders.  

 

SHIPPING CHARGES

Shipping charges are FREE for orders picked up at our facility.

Shipping charges are FREE for all orders over $199.

LIVESTOCK - For orders up to $199, we pass on a flat fee of $29.99 for livestock purchases.  Shipping charges for livestock in Minnesota are $15.00. 

HARD GOODS ONLY -  For orders up to $199, we charge a flat fee of $8.99 for ground shipping of hard goods. Please contact us if you wish to rush your delivery. 

There is NO minimum order size. There are NO packaging fees.

Shipping charges will be displayed when you place an order at checkout. You can also consult our Shipping & Processing Charge table below. The type of product you order or the weather in our/your area may affect the anticipated shipping schedule. Shipments cannot be made to Florida, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, other U.S. territories, military addresses (APO), post office boxes or international locations. Large orders may be shipped in more than one package; we will contact you if this results in additional shipping charges. SHIPPING PROCESS

Because we sell live animals, we recommend that you ship and pick up your package at your local FedEx or UPS center rather than deliver it to your door. This reduces an extra shipment step and greatly reduces the stress on your animals. 

If you are not aware of your nearest FedEx or UPS location, please call and we will be glad to help you determine the best pick up location.  If you decide to ship your purchases directly to your door, someone must be available to receive and sign for your shipment to ensure that your animals are immediately handled and acclimated to your aquarium.  Our standard shipping process:

  • We typically do not ship the same day as we receive the order so that we can properly process your new livestock prior to shipment.  Orders are shipped the day after we receive the order  We ship packages on Monday through Thursday; Saturday deliveries are not available.
  • Your out-going shipment will be hand-delivered to our FedEx or UPS shipping center late in the day to minimize stress on your animals.
  • Once shipped, we will email you the package tracking information.
  • All live marine life packages are prepared based on the needs of each species and current weather conditions. Packaging typically consists of an outer cardboard box, an interior styrofoam protective layer, aquatic bags and heat/cool packs for safe transport of your purchases.

HARD GOODS

Hard goods purchased with a livestock order will be ground shipped in a separate box. We do not charge an additional shipping fee for the hard goods - just the livestock flat fee charge (or no charge over $199).  

For hard goods ONLY purchases (no livestock), we ground ship for a flat fee of $8.99. There is no fee for hard good purchases over $199.

 

IN-STORE PICKUP

Customers can make livestock or aquarium water purchases online or at our facility.  Online purchases can also be picked up directly at our facility.  If you would like to pick up purchases, please contact us to confirm that someone will be available.
