Is a seahorse a fish?


Yes, a seahorse is a marine fish in the Family Syngnathid and Genus Hippocampus.

There are over 50 seahorse species worldwide; they are relatives of pipefish and seadragons.  Seahorses are vertebrates with spines and a bony external body armor that is covered by flesh without scales.  Seahorses have gills used to draw oxygen from water.
