Yellow Assessor Basslets, also known as Golden Mini Groupers, are a wonderful captive bred choice to include in a seahorse or coral tank. These fish are non-aggressive and grow slowly so will not overpower seahorses or bother corals or other invertebrates. Assessors may be aggressive to their own species. They grow up to 3.0 to 3.5 inches.
Assessors are a beautiful yellow color with a red/orange rim on their fins. They love to hide in rocks or caves so be sure to supply areas of cover. Do not be surprised if they swim upside down especially when introduced to a new tank. Feed Assessors a varied diet including meaty frozen foods and/or dry foods if desired.
